Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

In the verse above we read about the hand of God at work in our lives. Not only has He given us purpose to do “good works” that we are uniquely created to do, we also see that He has gone before us and prepared for them to be done.

So many times we treat prayer as a transactional exchange and seldom actually take time and unpack the reality of the presence of God all around us and how He has been at work.

Take some time to answer the following questions and then as you do, take time to thank God for how you have seen Him at work.

Next Steps:

Take some time to sit and think about this past week. What were some things that you saw God wanting to do? What are some ways that He had been preparing you/others for that work?

Take some time to look ahead, what are some things on the horizon that you are trusting God for? Can you see how God may be preparing you/other for these things?

Close your time by thanking God how you have seen Him at work in your life both in the past and in what is to come. Thank Him for the gift of restoration through Christ, but also of His presence through His Holy Spirit.
