welcome to the abbey
Below you can learn more about the vision and heart behind the creation of "The ABBEY" and the ministry of Collegiate Abbey.
Shepherding those who Shepherd and serve
Leadership is lonely...
Relationally. Emotionally. Spiritually.
University Leadership and Staff are often overlooked by ministries and organizations that serve the University community.
Collegiate Abbey develops bridges of relationship and trust with these leaders and staff; bridges that cultivate emotional and spiritual health in their lives. We seek to create environments of grace and peace that help care for leaders and those who serve as we in turn serve them through the gospel of Christ.
a way to give
The vision of “The Abbey App” is that it would become a catalyst to help launch sustainable nonprofit ministries in our communities. Our hope that is that as our user base expands, so do the ministries that are supported by The Abbey.
As we grow our initial vision is to establish and develop ministries serving the collegiate community, the special needs community, the refugee community, and PTSD, grief, and trauma victims.
The Vision:
20,000 users
The ABBEY and Collegiate Abbey
reach sustainability and phase 2 of The ABBEY begins.
40,000 users
ABBEY Bakery is formed to help launch sustainable employment for the Refugee Community.
60,000 Users
ABBEY Cafe is created in partnership with local organizations to help employ the special needs community.
80,000 users
ABBEY Farm is created as a resource to serve those dealing with grief, trauma, and PTSD.
LONGTERM VISION:
In launching Abbey Bakery, Cafe & Farm the potential for collaboration among these ministries and services is also developed.
Income generated from the cdollaborative services provided helps to further stabilize the ministries to the areas of need.
Sustainability Example: A wedding booked at the event venue of Abbey Farm and catered by Abbey Bakery and Cafe would create capital to fund ministries serving the special needs community, refugees and those dealing with grief, trauma and PTSD.
