Rocky Top Cares ParaCounselor Training

Rocky Top Cares ParaCounselor Training

Rocky Top Cares is a resource provided by Collegiate Abbey, College Life, and RUF in partnership with local counseling providers to address mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical areas of need on our campus.

What Is Christian Para-Counseling?

Para-Counseling is a ministry Jesus calls his followers to provide to those who are in emotional or spiritual turmoil. Christian para-counselors offer hurting people a spiritual helping relationship in which they can experience the kind of spiritual care, hope, and truth that only Jesus can provide.  This 10-hour training program provides the foundations for understanding how to offer Christian faith-based para-counseling to those who are hurting.

Third Thursdays are a time to come together and to feed your body and soul. Each month we will provide lunch while you hear from a speaker who specializes in the area or topic we are addressing. Our desire is to serve those who serve. We know it can be lonely and challenging. We know your work often goes unappreciated. Third Thursdays are a time for us to say Thank You and to help you take the next step, in a healthy way.
