Day 6: Faithfulness - Prayer

Text:  John 3:16,17

God sent Jesus to save the world …

He is more super than Superman,

more stealthy than Batman,

more sticky than Spiderman,

more powerful than Hulk,

more all-knowing than Dr. Strange,

more mighty than Thor,

more good-hearted than Captain America,

more technically creative than Ironman,

more empowering than Black Panther.

As you pray today, acknowledge God’s faithfulness to His people: He provided Jesus to be our Rescuer, our Savior -- and oh my, how we’ve needed Him. Look around. As you listen to the news or observe your place and space, notice how the world needs a Savior. All is not as it should be -- this place, our earth, our campus, our city, our nation needs a Savior.

But before you get crushed by the mess of the world today, be encouraged: God saw our plight and made a way! We have hope now, because of God’s faithfulness and goodness. He has not left us alone; we will not die, we will not go to hell, for He has made a path for us.

The Trinity determined what was best: holiness needed to become human, divinity needed to embrace dust, splendor needed to identify with sin. Jesus perfectly, faithfully, and sacrificially executed Their plan.

Reflection

Morning Pause: Pray for the broken people you see today.

Afternoon Pause: Pray for our nation, that our people and government would honor God and His ways.

Evening Pause: Pray to be a faithful follower of Jesus, to be His light in the dark places of this world, to be His representative of love where there is so much hate and bigotry. I pray for YOU, that you will be faithful, no matter the cost. I pray you will sing like Mary, celebrate like Elizabeth and Zechariah, be solid like Joseph, wait like Anna and Simeon, and give everything you have and own like the Wise Men. I pray you will trust. I pray you will follow. I pray you will be totally, unreservedly, unabashedly God’s.
